Spellbound & Shelved Tools
Planners for gold, the plaque, and a 1–3 hour tidy.
Idle games hide their difficulty in decisions, not in combos. Spellbound & Shelved decisions are what to buy and when the door is OPEN. This hub is two planners, a Steam boards page, plus the reminder that no planner beats watching the mosaic.
- Upgrade planner — pick a job, OPEN, hover the web, CLOSE.
- Door-sign planner — fundraising bursts versus tidy sprints for each walkthrough phase.
- Leaderboards — Steam Stats and boards for a single-player idle, not a versus ladder.
They exist because the radial tree has 200+ nodes and the plaque is too easy to ignore. Use them with the upgrade tier list and the door-sign strategy, not instead of those pages.
What these tools are not
They are not cheat tables. They are not promo-code redeemers — there are no official codes (see codes). They are not DPS simulators. They are checklists you can follow with the game in a second window.
Steam already gives you stats, leaderboards, and save-anytime. A planner that pretends to compute the exact diamond cost of an unpublished node would be fiction. We list jobs and rhythms instead.
Suggested session kit
- Open the walkthrough so you know the phase.
- Open the door-sign planner and set a burst length.
- Open the upgrade planner and circle one S-job.
- Play. Flip. Buy. Do not add a second job until CLOSED has shown wood grain.
If you are the kind of librarian who hates overlays, skip this hub after one read. The tips page is enough optional clicking. If you are the kind who panic-buys the whole mandala, stay here.
Accessibility overlap
The game is mouse or touch, play-at-your-own-pace, no required timed inputs. Planners assume you can pause with CLOSED and hover the tree. If you play mostly AFK, the door-sign planner’s CLOSED-majority rows are the ones that matter; skip pep-talk columns.
After a patch
When needmoar.games retunes costs, the jobs remain: speed, carry, space, survivable income. Revisit Updates and then the upgrade planner’s phase table. Do not throw the door-sign rhythm away because a node got cheaper.
The tools are short on purpose. A 1–3 hour game does not need a 30-tab spreadsheet. It needs a plaque policy and a shopping list. Everything else is watching hats bow.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for the idle library.
Do I need these tools to finish Spellbound & Shelved?
No. They are checklists. The walkthrough and door-sign guide are enough to finish.
Is there a gold calculator with exact node prices?
Not without inventing numbers. Hover in-game. The upgrade planner ranks jobs instead.
Where is the code redeemer?
There is none at launch. Read the codes hub before pasting strings from random lists.
